Instructions :

  1. 1

Prepare the ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

Apply the rub: Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the BBQ rub. Make sure to get the rub into all the crevices.

  3. 3

Smoke the ribs: Preheat your smoker to 225-250°F (107-121°C). Place the ribs on the smoker, bone-side down.

  4. 4

Smoke for 3 hours: Smoke the ribs for 3 hours, maintaining the temperature.

  5. 5

Wrap the ribs: Remove the ribs from the smoker. Lay out a large sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Place the ribs on the foil, bone-side down. Pour the apple cider vinegar and apple juice over the ribs. Wrap the ribs tightly in the foil.

  6. 6

Continue smoking: Return the wrapped ribs to the smoker and continue smoking for another 2 hours.

  7. 7

Unwrap and sauce: Carefully remove the ribs from the foil. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce.

  8. 8

Finish smoking: Return the ribs to the smoker, uncovered, and continue smoking for another 1 hour, or until the sauce has set and the ribs are tender.

  9. 9

Rest and serve: Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
